For close to a week now, robberies have become a norm for the people of Ogun State.

MyNigeria.com gathered that robbers are known to ravage homes for foodstuffs and sometimes rape mothers and wives in homes where nothing could be snatched.

The continuous reoccurrence of petty theft forced them to take up arms and protect themselves against unwarranted attacks.

Since the Police refused to act.



Things got messy last night till this morning with a brazen assault on Communities like Ifo, Sango and a few satellite towns who recorded break-ins.

As a result, all sense of social distancing was put out of the way as members of the community gathered round to take back their city.

According to situation reports, even the Police were scared to battle the menace, saddling residents with that responsibility.





Slowly, it spread to neighbouring Lagos with records of reported cases in Abule Egba.



The Government has been ineffective and unresponsive. But the people have made headway in their fight to end the hoodlums besieging their homes.
