Police arrests man for planning own abduction in Kano state

Kano State police command on Monday, October 19, 2020 arrested a man identified as Ado for allegedly arranging his own abduction and demanding a ransom of N4m from their relatives, just as it also arrested an accomplice, Alex, in connection, with the planned kidnapping.

Abdullahi Haruna, the spokesman of Kano State Police Command, who confirmed the arrest, stated that Ado conspired with his wife, Semira and used Alex to carry out the planned kidnapping and demanded for the ransom.

According to Haruna, who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police, the accomplice, Alex, revealed the plot when he was arrested.

Haruna stated that all the suspects were arrested and prosecuted.
