The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has reacted to the explosion which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in Abule Ado, Lagos.

The explosion which was earlier mistaken to have occurred as a result of pipeline vandalization was caused by a factory located in the area, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, stated.

Reacting to the explosion, the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna called on the government to carry out a thorough investigation into the incident which claimed lives and properties.

“The government must immediately do all that is necessary to avert a reoccurrence.

“I am calling on the Lagos State Government to investigate this and not dismiss it as a mere gas explosion.

“The damage is huge,’’ Ogbonna said.
