New tenant commits suicide in Delta community

A tragic incident occurred at Kotokoto Layout, off Orhuwhorun Road, in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State woke up on Wednesday, July 28, as a new tenant identified as Pius Idise reportedly committed suicide.

The deceased said to be a Master’s degree holder in Quantum Physics, was found dead in his apartment with the door wide open and an empty container of an insecticide by his side.

A neighbour said, “We all woke up this morning (Thursday) to discover the door to Mr Pius Idise’s apartment wide open. We later discovered that he was dead. We were all shocked. He moved into the apartment about three weeks ago."

The state police spokesperson, Bright Edafe confirmed the incident saying "The police are aware of the incident. It is a case of suicide.”
