NYSC DG, others pay courtesy visit to Buhari over ‘allawee’ increment

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC - Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim and some selected serving corp members have paid a courtesy visit to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retd.).

The group was received by the President on Thursday at the state house, Aso Rock, Abuja.

According to the official Twitter account of the government of Nigeria, @NigeriaGov, the visit was triggered by the corp members allowance increase.

Recall that MyNigeria.com reported that the FG increased the corp members allowance from N19,800 to N33,000. A subsequent post from MyNigeria.com confirmed the payment of the new allowance as corp members took to social media to testify.

The NYSC DG and corp members visited Buhari to appreciate him for the allowance increase.

@NigeriaGov posted pictures of the visit on Twitter with the caption: "President @MBuhari received @officialnyscng corp members in appreciation visit over their Increased allowance at the State House, Abuja."
