Missing TASCE staff found dead inside Ogun river -

The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said it had recovered the corpse of Tajudeen Oropo, a worker at the Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu, who plunged into Ososa River on Sagamu-Benin Expressway on Saturday.

DAILY POST reported yesterday that Oropo had been declared missing after his car plunged into Ososa river on Saturday. His car had earlier been recovered.

Clement Oladele, the Ogun Sector Commander of FRSC, revealed that the corpse was recovered on Monday.

Mr Oladele said the corps engaged divers to effect the recovery.

Oropo, a nonacademic staff member of TASCE, drove a black Honda Civic car.

β€œThe driver of the Honda Car lost control due to speeding and flipped into the Ososa River, on Sagamu- Benin Expressway, on Saturday,’’ Mr Oladele said.

The commander explained that divers employed by FRSC searched for the body of the victim but only saw the vehicle on Sunday.

Mr Oladele said the deceased was buried after the family members picked up the body on Monday.

The FRSC commander condoled with members of the family of the deceased and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
