Man caught stealing a bottle of wine to celebrate his birthday

A young man was reportedly caught and beaten for allegedly stealing a bottle of wine at a supermarket.

It was said that this incident occurred on Thursday, October 13, 2022, along Aka Etinan Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

When questioned, the man said he stole the wine to celebrate his birthday.

Since the news broke, some Nigerians have shared their thoughts.

- "It’s a mistake.. make them free am.. why naked him?

-Another person said; "Must you celebrate your birthday, if you don’t have money why not ignore it till next year and work towards it, who birthday party help, now you have disgrace your self and family, let them check whether he is normal, people should stop this primitive character of stripping thieves naked"
