Imo College of Education, Ihitte-Uboma has been named after late senator Benjamin Uwajumogu.

This declaration was made by the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, during the burial of Uwajumogu at his country home in Isinweke in the Ihitte/ Uboma Local Government Area of the state.

To make this decision come into fruition, Uzodinma said he had related with the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Collins Chiji to draft laws to that effect.

Benjamin Uwajumogu was a Nigerian senator representing Imo North senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate, MyNigeria.com earlier reported. He died on December 18, 2019, after falling ill for several weeks, according to his colleague Elisha Abbo.
