Ilaro Polytechnic suspends SUG president arrested in full cult regalia

Adegboye Olatunji, the president of the Students Union Government, SUG, in Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Ogun State, has been caught by the school's management while wearing the regalia of a secret cult.

Following his arrest which came as a shock to many, the school placed him on an indefinite suspension over cult-related offenses.

Olatunji was arrested by the police alongside one Olarewaju Taiwo during the initiation for new members of the black axe cult group whose regalia they were caught wearing.

The arrest occurred after information got to the police that some men suspected to be cultists were sighted at a bush in Gbogidi area of Ilaro.

Arriving at the location, police found the men in the process of initiating new members into the secret cult.

The Deputy-Registrar public relations of the institution, Sola Abiola issued a statement in which she revealed that Olatunji has been suspended by the school.

“The suspension of Mr Adegboye is in line with the Act establishing the Polytechnic and the provision of the Students Handbook coupled with the Polytechnic’s zero tolerance to cultism, pending his appearance before the Students Disciplinary Committee to establish his culpability or otherwise” she added.
