Ibadan suspect remanded for killing another woman

A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Thursday remanded suspected serial killer Sunday Shodipe, 19, at a correctional centre after he was charged with killing one Funmilayo Oladeji in Akinyele area of the capital city.

Senior Magistrate Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi who did not take his plea, ordered his remand pending advice from the state Ministry of Justice.

Prosecutor Salewa Ahmed told the court that Shodipe, on August 13, killed Oladeji, 45, by hitting her with a plank on her forehead.

Shodipe earlier confessed to killing five persons in the city.
