The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun has paid a condolence visit to the parents of Tiamiyu Kazeem who was allegedly killed by SARS operatives.

The governor described Kazeem's death as a loss to Ogun State because his talent was yet to be explored.

Also present during the visit is DIG Peter Ogunyonwo who relayed a directive given by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu.

A statement issued on the official Instagram page of Governor Abiodun reads:

"Today, I was on a condolence visit to the residence of Tiamiyu Kazeem's parents. Tiamiyu, who was until his death, a vice captain of the Remo Stars Football Club died in an unfortunate encounter with some men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) who were on an illegal mission.

"The DIG, Peter Ogunyonwo, who was with me on the visit, relayed the directive of the IGP that the satellite offices set up by all 12 zones be scrapped, dismantled and handed over to the various Commissioners of Police.

"Kaka's death is irreversibly regrettable because Ogun State has lost a man of unexplored talents. But this long-awaited, significant reform within the structures of the Nigerian Police assures us of an end to such anomalies.

"I proceeded to the Palace of the Akarigbo of Remoland, HRM Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, where I thanked him for his prompt response and efforts made towards de-escalating the situation".
