Femi Fani-Kayode reacts as Southeast prepare to launch security outfit

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has commended governors of the Southeast as they revealed plans to established their own regional security outfit.

This comes a month after governors of the Southwest established Operation Amotekun to help battle against kidnappings, banditry and perpetrators of other forms of violence in their region.

Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Umahi, revealed that the name of the Southeast regional security outfit would be revealed later and that the headquarters would be in Enugu State.

Reacting to the development, Femi Fani-Kayode tweeted: “I commend the courage of the SE Governors for stating their intention to establish their own joint security outfit to protect their people and fight crime in their zone.

“I expected no less from them and I am glad that they made this historic move. Proud of them! Now SW is not alone!”
