Fears grips Edo as "weed-smoking thugs" sighted at state assembly complex

With less than two weeks to the Edo guber election, the state is still in palpable fear as suspected thugs continue to lay siege on the Edo House of Assembly (EDHA) complex.

According to The Nation, weed-smoking thugs were seen around the building located at the Ring Road in Benin, the state capital, openly smoking weed under a canopy positioned at the main entrance of the building.

Legit.ng recalls that the political drama in Edo took downward alley as thugs were seen removing the roofs of the state House of Assembly and taking down the mace.

This happened on Thursday, August 6, shortly after dozens of the security officials stormed the assembly complex led by a deputy commissioner of police (operations) Ayoola Ajala.
