Corps member allegedly hacks lover to death in Uyo

A corps member serving in Akwa Ibom has been arrested for allegedly hacking a young man to death with a machete.

The suspect, identified as Odume Princess Paschaline, is accused of killing the victim (yet to be identified) on Sunday, January 10, 2021, after a night with him.

According to reports, Paschaline was apprehended when neighbours allegedly saw her trying to scale the fence of the victims home at Abak road, in Uyo at about 9am  with bloodstains on her body.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka graduate was reportedly interrogated about the bloodstains. In no time a crowd gathered and she was stripped naked and beaten to pulp when the alleged crime was discovered.

Reports say the deceased died after several cuts on his stomach and face.

The suspect is cooling off in police custody while investigation is ongoing.
