Nigerian filling stations have increased their petrol price hours after Dangote Refinery raised its gantry petrol price.

DAILY POST correspondent observed that MRS, BOVAS and other filling stations have quickly adjusted their fuel price to N1,370 and N1,365 per liter from N1,292 and N1,295 in Abuja.

This means that the petroleum product marketers raised their fuel between N75 and N78 per liter.

The development comes after Dangote Refinery on Wednesday raised its gantry petro by N75 per liter from N1,200 due to an upsurge in crude oil prices to above $115 per liter after the United Arab Emirates exited the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.

DAILY POST reports that Nigeria has been vulnerable to crude oil price volatility caused by the Middle East crisis.

Since February 2026, fuel prices have risen significantly to nearly N1,400 per liter, down from around N800 per liter.
