Lafarge Africa Plc has secured two prestigious certifications from the International Organisation for Standardisation for its ReadyMix operations.
According to a statement, the Standard Organisation of Nigeria awarded the Integrated Management System ISO 9001:2015 and IMS ISO 14001:2015 certifications to the building solutions company after an audit process.
The audit followed an application submitted in October 2022 and was conducted between March and September 2023.
Head of Aggregates and Concrete, Derek Williamson, confirmed the development in a statement made available to journalists.
“These certifications underscore the company’s adherence to global standards and commitment to quality and environmental sustainability values in all of its ReadyMix operations and processes,” he said.
Williamson described the certifications as “pivotal achievements” that reinforce Lafarge Africa’s status as a responsible corporate organisation.
He remarked, “It is a clear demonstration of customer satisfaction as well as confirmation of a healthy and safe work environment for employees and contractors.”
The ISO certification serves as a seal of approval that validates Lafarge Africa’s conformity to standards developed by the global standards body, the company added.
