Local travel firms under the aegis of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, have said how to survive aviation downstream turbulence and its exploitative effect will be the hallmark of its annual general meeting which will hold in Abuja later this month.

The President, NANTA, Susan Akporiaye, who made the disclosure in a statement on Thursday, also announced that for the first time in Africa, two industry associations, NANTA and the Tour Operators Union of Ghana, endorsed by South Africa Tourism, would host a hybrid multi-layer tourism industry conference in Johannesburg, South Africa in May this year.

She said the association’s 47th AGM, scheduled for April 25th to 27th, and themed, ‘”professionalism: a key to surviving aviation downstream turbulence and its exploitative effects”, would provide an opportunity for operators to learn from experts in the industry and address areas of concern in the travel world.
