Dangote to spearhead private sector in fight against coronavirus

The Aliko Dangote Foundation has announced that it would be spearheading a coalition of companies in the private sector to assist the government in the fight against coronavirus.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the foundation which also reveals that N200 million has also been donated by Dangote towards the fight against the deadly virus.

Part of the activities the coalition will engage in includes setting up tents where training, testing and isolation would be taking place.

Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of Aliko Dangote Foundation wrote on social media:

"COVID-19 affects us all and threatens our collective health (economic, social, psychological) and physical wellbeing, hence the urgent need to collaborate and work together to beat this common enemy. The task ahead is daunting and bigger than any one organisation. To win this battle, it is critical we all come together as one".
