Access Bank clamps down on physical meetings with customers, announce social distancing protocols

Access Bank has announced its own protocols for maintaining social distancing in the bid to reduce the spread of coronavirus amongst members of staff.

In a notice filed by the bank to the investing public, it said it would be minimizing physical meetings between its staff and external stakeholders. It proposed online meetings as a solution to that and asked stakeholders to join its meeting in virtual rooms for any scheduled meeting expected to hold in person.

It announced a restriction on international travel and advised workers to observe the 14- day isolation NCDC approved guideline.

It also separated contact between its Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director for the duration of the global pandemic. It promised to split its team, making sure team members do not share any form of physical contact with other team members.

In addition, the lender promised to prioritise temperature checks and hand sanitizers outside its building. It also promised to disinfect its building thoroughly and ensure social distancing is achieved through its pre-arranged meeting rooms.
