Wear face mask or get sacked - Oluwo of Iwo tells his staff

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has sounded a note of warning to his staff on the need to wear a face mask to protect themselves from coronavirus.

In a post he shared, the Oluwo stated that any staff in his palace who gets seen without a face mask while outside the palace will be sacked.

“I want to passionately appeal to my subjects to always use facemasks. Coronavirus is airborne. It is not infection to joke with. It is real and it kills. Let’s be proactive by using our facemask regularly and respect precautionary directives from the government”

“My chiefs, princes and staff must wear it to the palace. Any of my staff seeing outside or visiting the palace without facemask will be retrenched. Let’s respect God in the present situation and stay safe,” his statement read.

The Oluwo stated this just weeks after he begged God to infect him with coronavirus and spare the rest of the world.
