We’re not involved in kidnapping - Police

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted alleged claims that police operatives are involved in a kidnapping in the nation’s capital.

A statement issued on Monday by the FCT police spokesman  Yusuf Mariam said, “The FCT Police Command wishes to dissociate itself from the article trending in some sections of the social media purporting that police operatives are involved in ‘official kidnapping’ along Game Village axis.

“The Command wishes to categorically state that there was no record of such incident within the FCT as at 1000hrs of Monday 12th July 2021”.

The police solicited useful information from the ‘alleged victim of the official kidnapping’ for immediate action.
