The Managing Director and Accountable Officer of ValueJet, Omololu Majekodunmi, has said that the airline’s major focus is to improve connectivity among key cities across Nigeria through safe, reliable and customer-friendly flight services.
Majekodunmi stated this following the announcement of the airline’s new Lagos-Benin route, which is scheduled to commence operations on May 18.
According to him, the introduction of the Benin-City route forms part of ValueJet’s broader expansion drive aimed at providing passengers with more accessible and efficient travel options within the country.
He explained that the carrier remained committed to deepening domestic connectivity while also expanding its operational reach across strategic destinations in Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
Majekodunmi noted that the Lagos-Benin service will offer travellers a faster and more comfortable alternative to road transport, especially for business and leisure passengers frequently commuting along the route.
He further stated that the addition of Benin-City to the airline’s network reflects ValueJet’s determination to link more commercial and regional hubs through seamless air travel services.
Majekodunmi said, “The addition of Benin to our network reflects our focus on connecting key cities across Nigeria with safe, reliable and customer-friendly services.
“We are pleased to provide more accessible and efficient travel options for our passengers while continuing to expand our reach.”
Majekodunmi added that the airline had continued to strengthen its domestic and regional operations with flights from Lagos to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Calabar, Kano, Jos and Gateway International Airport in Ogun State.
He also mentioned the airline’s regional expansion, noting that ValueJet currently operates international services to destinations such as Cotonou, Accra, Malabo and Banjul.
