These 10 cities have the most billionaires in the world

Business magazine, Forbes has released a list highlighting the cities which make up the most billionaires in the world for 2024.

While records show that there are currently some 2,781 billionaires scattered across the world in 2024, only a handful of them live in prime and elite cities.

According to a Forbes report issued on April 26, 2024, nearly a quarter of billionaires, worth a combined $3 trillion, live in one of ten cities in only six countries, per its latest ranking of World’s Billionaires list.

Leading the pack is New York City which is home to most billionaires in the world. Collectively, the city is worth $694 billion. 62 of these billionaires work or have businesses in Wall Street and other finance and investment firms.

However, 14 of them are into real estate while dozens ply their trade in fashion and retail business.

In second place with a tie is Hong Kong and Moscow who boast of 74 billionaires each while Mumbai also made a big jump from seventh to fourth after adding 13 more billionaires since 2023, according to Forbes.
