The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a scheduled maintenance exercise on its 60-megavolt-ampere (MVA) 132/33 kilovolt (kV) transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation this Thursday.
The exercise will run from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah, stated in a press release issued in Abuja.
She noted that the maintenance will temporarily disrupt electricity supply to several areas served by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
“TCN hereby informs the public that a maintenance exercise will be carried out on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation on Thursday, between 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.,” Mbah said.
During this period, AEDC will be unable to supply power to customers in Zarumai, Maitumbi, General Hospital Minna, IBB Uphill, parts of Tunga, Bosso, and nearby communities.
She apologized for any inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause to electricity consumers in the affected areas.
