Ogun seeks investments, promises enabling environment

The Ogun State Government has stated the need for more investment inflows into the state, assuring potential investors of collaboration towards their success.

A statement on Sunday from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments said the governor of the state, Mr Dapo Abiodun, assured attendees at the launch of a new plant by Eat ‘N’ Go limited in the Magboro area that Ogun was on the frontline for investment with a conducive environment.

Abiodun who was represented by the ministry’s commissioner, Mrs Kikelomo Longe, stated, “We welcome prospective investors to come on board and enjoy the enabling business-friendly environment.

“Ogun State will continue to collaborate with our budding industrialists and domestic entrepreneurs to effect a flawless synergy. This is one of the most peaceful states in the South-West.”

The governor added that ease of doing business remained a priority to the state.

Longe also said during a courtesy visit to Mikano Nigeria Limited within the same area that companies in Ogun should leverage the competitive advantages in the state. Ogun remains the number one destination for investors –Abiodun She said that the government had tailored the state’s physical planning as well as provision of relevant infrastructure to meet the needs of the existing and potential investors in the state.

She commended the Chairman of Mikano Nigeria Limited, Mr Mofid Karameh, and the management of the company, stressing that the company had added to the state’s industrial status.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mikano International, Mr Najir Jierir, said the company had been recruiting from the host community adding that it invested in the training of its staff which according to him, widened their scope of knowledge as well as increased their experience.
