The Naira recorded its third consecutive appreciation against the United States Dollar at the official foreign exchange on Wednesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira rose on Wednesday to N1,400.48 per dollar, up from N1,401.22 traded the previous day.
This means the Nigerian naira gained N0.74 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.
Similarly, the Naira strengthened by N5 to N1485 per dollar on Wednesday, up from N1490 traded on Tuesday.
Naira gain across official and black market comes at the country’s foreign reserves grew to $46,04 billion as January 26 2026 according to the apex bank data.
Recall that on Tuesday the naira recorded its highest gain against the dollar in months.
