The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has raised petrol prices in Abuja from N910 to N945 per litre, a N35 increase.
In Lagos, prices at NNPC retail outlets have climbed from N870 to N915 per litre, marking a N45 hike.
Several NNPC stations, including those along Fin Niger Badagry Highway and Igando in Lagos, as well as the Federal Housing area in Kubwa, FCT, have updated their pumps to reflect the new rates. Long queues of motorists were observed at Lagos stations selling at N915 per litre.
Other fuel retailers have followed suit. MRS stations in Lagos now sell petrol at N925 per litre, up from N875, while TotalEnergies has adjusted its price to N910 per litre from N879.
The price surge aligns with a recent increase in the ex-depot price of petrol to N880 per litre.
