MTN Nigeria finally launched its 5G network service across the country on Wednesday for public use.

The service went live at 190 sites operated by MTN across the country, mainly in Lagos and Abuja.

Wednesday’s launch by MTN comes on the same day that the NCC had set aside as the date of official authorization for the rollout of the service across the country.

According to the Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, the deployment of the 5G spectrum would further accelerate the growth of Nigeria’s broadband services.
