The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has disclosed that 28 vessels laden with petroleum products, food items and other commodities are expected to arrive at major ports in Lagos between July 21 and August 10.

The authority made this known in its Daily Shipping Position Report, which showed that the vessels are scheduled to berth at the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa and the Lekki Deep Sea Port.

According to the report, 13 of the incoming vessels are carrying containerised cargo, while 15 are conveying a variety of commodities, including frozen fish, bulk urea, premium motor spirit (PMS), crude oil, automotive gas oil (AGO), Jet A1 aviation fuel, bulk wheat, trucks and general cargo.

The NPA also stated that 12 motor vessels and four tanker ships have already arrived at the ports and are currently awaiting berth allocation.

According to the report, the motor vessels at anchorage are laden with bulk wheat, bulk pellets, bulk sugar, bulk fertiliser, general cargo, containers and bulk urea, while the tanker ships are carrying crude oil, PMS and AGO pending berthing at the designated terminals.
