These collaborations has birthed successful partnerships while some others just failed to stand the test of time.

The reasons for the failures and successes of the business vary from the personalities and the circumstances.

In this article, MyNigeria highlights three remarkable partnerships that have not only thrived but have also set new standards of excellence in various industries:

Herbert Wigwe and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede

The late Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access bank crossed paths with his business partner, the co-founder of Access bank, Aig-Imoukhuede in the 1980s.

They both shared a vision for transforming Nigeria's banking sector.

They started Access Bank which has become one of the leading banks in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

While business conflict or disagreement is inevitable, there has not been any report of a public misunderstanding between the men.

Wigwe unfortunately lost his life in February.

Fola Adeola and Tayo Aderinola

Fola Adeola, a very talented banker with a penchant for innovation met Tayo Aderinola, a legal luminary in the 1980s.

Tayo is known for his strategic acumen and dedication to excellence while Fola is also a very knowledgeable and dedicated banker.

Together, Fola and Tayo co-founded Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) in 1990, despite economic uncertainty and regulatory challenges.

Their partnership was one that was marked by a deep sense of mutual respect and trust, with Adeola bringing his expertise in banking and finance, and Aderinola providing invaluable legal counsel and strategic guidance.

Tayo later succeeded Fola in a smooth transition.

Tito Ovia Adegoke, Dimeji Sofowora, and Adegoke Olubusi Adedemiji

The founders of Helium Health Tito Ovia Adegoke, Dimeji Sofowora, and Adegoke Olubusi Adedemiji have set the pace when it comes to business partnership in health.

Helium Health is a healthcare technology company that provides electronic medical records (EMR) solutions to hospitals and healthcare providers, streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing patient care.

The trio are recognized for their innovation in setting up Helium Health, and their commitment to changing healthcare delivery across Nigeria and Africa.

The three shared a common conviction that technology could change the way healthcare services are accessed and delivered in Nigeria.

They drew their strength from their diverse backgrounds in engineering, finance, and technology to establish the prestigious company in 2016.

From 2016 till date, they have worked hard in silence. There has been no reports of any conflict in the course of running their business.
