Veteran media personality, Dele Momodu has added his voice to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) directive that bank employees must declare their assets in accordance with the bank employees declaration of assets act.

This comes after the chairman of the commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa gave the directive after meeting with President Buhari on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He gave June 1 as the deadline for workers to comply with the directive.

Dele Momodu questioned if the country was currently under a military regime. He opined that declaration of assets should start with government agencies and politicians as banks are private sector entities.

"Are we in a military regime? Why not start with government agencies and politicians? Banks belong largely to the private sector... "EFCC orders bank workers to declare assets, sets June 1 deadline," he tweeted.
