An Anglican priest, Rev. Azubuike Mgbikeh has criticized women who allow their domestic staff to cook meals for their husband.

The clergyman aired his mind on the issue while delivering a sermon on Mother's Day at the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Akwa, Anambra State.

In his sermon titled "The Virtuous Woman and The Home”, Azubuike stated that one of the qualities of a virtuous woman is her ability to cater to her home.

He said: "It’s unfortunate that many women don’t know how to cook. That’s why they will start campaigning for househelps as soon as they get married. Don’t allow househelps to cook for your husbands.

"A virtuous woman will not do that. If the househelp must prepare any meals, not soup and stew."

He went on to advise women to imbibe the qualities of a virtuous woman which includes modest dressing, being supportive, good in character and caring for the poor.
