NPFL side, Enyimba FC, have paid tribute to their former striker, late Ifeanyi George, 26, who lost his life in a car crash on Sunday.
George's car ran into a parked truck on his way to Lagos to observe the impromptu league break initiated due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The young striker was in the company of his friend/teammate Emmanuel Ogbu, who also passed away on Sunday, March 22.
Gorge enjoyed an unforgettable two-year stint with the People's Elephants, winning his very first NPFL title in his debut season with the Aba side before joining Enugu Rangers in 2017.
The club described his loss as "shocking", adding that "words cannot in any way describe the depth of pain" that they feel.
