Ex-Nigerian international player, Taiye Taiwo, has advised his former employer, Olympique Marseille to snap up Nigerian attackers, Moses Simon and Victor Osimhen.

Having spent six years of his career with the French giants, Taiwo believes that his compatriots would be a good buy for his former side.

Speaking with Debate Foot Marseille, Taiwo who had 192 appearances and 17 goals as a left-back for OM highlighted the qualities in Simon and Osimhen that best suits the Marseille style.

“He (Simon) really is not bad! Frankly physically he is good. When you come from Nantes to play in Marseille it’s another world.

“You have to have the mentality because it’s different to play for Nantes or for Marseille. It would be nice if he came to play at OM.”

“And there is also Lille striker Victor Osimhen, he would be good for Marseille, and for him to know the pressure. Marseille need lively players like that to play on the side”.

Victor has scored a total of 18 goals with six assists in 38 games across board for his current employers, Lille, where he is becoming a household name.

Simon, on the other hand, has netted nine goals in 30 games including eight assists so far with the season on hold due to the coronavirus with his club Nantes.

Should Marseille make a move for both players in the summer, they would face stiff competitions for their signature with Barcelona and Manchester United rumoured to be interested in 6.1ft tall Osimhen.

The French side recently celebrated the ex-Ac Milan star, Taiye Taiwo on his 35th birthday on April 16th.
