William Troost-Ekong is expecting a tough challenge from Cameroon in Friday’s International friendly in Austria.

The Super Eagles have enjoyed a good run of victories over their local rivals, winning five and drawn one of their last six meetings.

Both side last met in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, with the Gernot Rohr’s side coming from a goal down to win 3-2.

The Friday battle is scheduled to hold at the Weiner Neustadt Stadium and both sides will be back at the same venue for the second meeting on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ekong said they are expecting a difficult game from the Cameroonians who will be hoping to avenge their recent losses.

“It’s going to be a difficult game”

“I think we played them a lot in the last couple of years and they’ve always been a difficult opponent.

“They would be a team that wants to get revenge against us because we knocked them out of the World Cup  (2018 qualifiers) and at the AFCON we did the same thing.

“It’s going to be a difficult game and the boys are ready to have a good fight and enjoy the game, show ourselves, see what we can do and make sure we finish the season on a high,” he told Super Eagles media channel.
