PSG terminates Icardi's contract effective immediately

French Champions, Paris Saint Germain, has terminated the contract of Italian striker, Mauro Icardi, with immediate effect.

Icardi swapped from Italian side, Inter Milan on loan to the French side last summer after falling out with his parent club.

Yet again, his leopard refused to change its skin, thus earning him a contract termination, thanks to his wife and agent, Wanda Nara who angered PSG chiefs after informing the club that the striker wants a return to Italy when the campaign finally ends.

With 20 goals in 31 matches, Paris was beginning to look like home for Icardi but all that seems to be going down the drain.

A home return is looking like a mirage for the Argentine with Inter enjoying their summer signing, Romelo Lukaku, who has been in blistering form since joining, a sign Icardi's return won't be welcomed, more thanks to his fall out with the club and fans.

Icardi refused to travel with the Inter squad for a Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna in the 2018-19 season as a protest to losing the club captaincy.

It became a very public and unsavoury fallout between the player, the club and then manager Luciano Spalletti. Icardi didn't play in the Inter first team for almost two months, from February until April.[Daily Mail]

With the Italian league as well as others across the globe on indefinite suspension because of the coronavirus pandemic, Icardi's fate hangs in the balance.
