Victor Osimhen was in action for Napoli Football club as they thrashed Udinese 5-1, in an Italian serie A encounter played at Diego Maradona Stadium on Tuesday.

Osimhen retained his spot in the starting eleven, following his impeccable form in front of goal recently.

Victor Osimhen couldn’t find the back of the net on the night , but he was heavily involved in Napoli’s fine attacking display, before he was substituted.

Osimhen created the first real chance of the game when he knocked down Fabian Ruiz free kick for Giovanni Di Lorenzo, only for the later to blaze the ball over the bar from six yards.

The former Lille forward was unlucky not to score the first goal in the 29th, Udinese goalkeeper saved his low shot ,  but Piotr Zielinski was there to tuck home the rebound.

Fabian doubled the lead in the 31st minutes, via an assist from Piotr Zielinski, before Stefano Okaka Chuka netted a goal for the away team in the 41st minutes, to end the first half 2-1.

Hirving Lozano restored Napoli’s two goal lead in the 56th minutes, before Giovanni Di Lorenzo scored another goal in the 66th minutes.

Captain Lorenzo Insigne netted the last goal of the game in the 90th minutes, to make 5-1 to the hosts.             

The victory over Udinese Calcio FC has now taken Gennaro Gattuso led Napoli to the second spot in the Italian Serie A table, with 73 points from 36 matches.
