Moses Simon inspires Nantes to vital win at Toulouse

Moses Simon helped Nantes to a 2-1 victory that increases their chances of promotion to the French Ligue 1.

This comes after they beat Toulouse in the first leg of the promotion play-off at Stadium Municipa Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Nantes gave themselves an ideal start inside the opening 10 minutes when Simon Moses set up Ludovic Blas for the opener, Brila.net said.

Their lead however lasted for nine minutes as Deiver Machado restored parity for the home side.

Nantes responded perfectly to the setback and they regained their lead three minutes later, thanks to an emphatic finish from Randal Kolo Muani.

Nantes successfully protected their lead second half and they return home with massive advantage ahead of the return leg.

Nantes will host Toulouse in the second leg on Sunday 30th May with the winner over the two legs guaranteed topflight football in Ligue 1 next season.
