Italian giants, Juventus, have left their Champions League quarter-finals qualification hanging by a thread after suffering a 1-0 defeat away to French side, Olympique Lyon.

Juventus were not so spectacular on the night and were made to pay for their lack of precision after Lucas Tousart put the French side ahead in the 31st minute.

This will be the home side's first-ever win against the Italian giants.

Mauricio Sarri's men lacked the cutting edge in the first leg of the UCL round of 16 as they failed to record a single shot on target against Lyon, making it more difficult for them to score a goal.

Although there were calls for penalties late in the second half from the Juventus players, the referee was apparently spot on and didn't require the use of the VAR to rule it off.

Juve will have a lot to do to ensure their qualification into the next round come the second leg in Turin.
