'I can change the narrative' - Joshua on rematch against Usyk

Anthony Joshua Anthony Joshua

Two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua is confident he can defeat Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch to reclaim his lost belts.

The 32-year-old British boxer of Nigerian descent is set to take on the Ukrainian in a rematch bout billed for Saturday, August 20.

Joshua lost his WBA (Super), WBO, and IBF titles to Usyk eleven months ago at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in what was his second career defeat.

The Ukrainian won the bouts on points but Joshua believes he has reinvented himself and is well prepared for Saturday's showdown.

"I know what he's going to do, I know what I've got to do," Joshua told the BBC.

"I've got to go change the narrative. I'm the author of my own movie. I can change the narrative.

"I took myself to the United States, worked with some new trainers. I just wanted to kind of revamp things. I'm going to be 33 in a couple of months.

The rematch is set to take place at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia.
