Former Dutch Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar have expressed an interest in scooping Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye.

The reports went rife as Az Alkmaar look to replace goalkeeper Marco Bizot who is on the verge of leaving for Grek giants Olympiakos.

Okoye's splendid form in the league as he singlehandedly carried his Club Sparta Rotterdam out of the relegation zone to the mid-table.

The German-born kept ten clean sheets in 28 league appearances, despite starting the campaign as the second choice, according to Brila.net.

Okoye was voted the player of the season at Sparta Rotterdam and has he been linked with Dutch champions Ajax but the move didn’t materialize so far.

However, the latest reports suggested that AZ Alkmaar is now willing to sign the goalkeeper should Marco Bizot leave the Club.
