Manchester City attacker, Leroy Sane has returned from injury after about seven months out due to injury.

Sane, who played 57 minutes for Manchester City's U23 side, got injured in August 2019 during the Community Shield match against league leaders, Liverpool.

The 24-year-old German international, who suffered a knee ligament injury, returned to training in January.

Sane played his first match on his return to action on Friday night as City's U23 squad defeated Arenal 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium in Premier League 2. [Sky Sports]

His return to action will be a massive boost for Pep Guardiola's men as they look to knock-out Real Madrid from the Champions League after winning the first-leg 2-1 at the Bernabeu.

The Citizens would, however, be on alert should Bayern Munich decided to revive interest in signing the winger come next summer's transfer window.
