An online video has surfaced showing officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Sagamu division, firing at protesters in order to disperse them.

The protesters call for the end of the activities of men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Sagamu, Ogun State, after they reportedly killed Tiamiyu Kazeem, a footballer who plays for Remo FC.

Earlier, www.mynigeria.com reported that a young man was shot down during the protest.

In the footage shared by TheNation, police officers were filmed on a street shooting to disperse the protesters.

According to TheNation, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police denied that his men fired gunshots at the protesters.

He claimed miscreants tried to hijack the protest and might have been the ones who fired shots.
