Premier League club Manchester United are reportedly impressed with the services of Nigeria’s Shola Shoretire and will now grant him his first professional contract.

The 17-year-old is set to be handed his first career professional contract amid interests from several European clubs including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and PSG.

Daily Mail are reporting that Shoretire is one of the best midfielders in his age bracket and he is well appreciated at Old Trafford.

He is expected to become a world-class player at the rate he is going as he has been a regular starter at the clubs U23s.

He is tipped to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils squad soon having previously trained with the first team on few occasions.

“The diminutive Shoretire can play on the wing or upfront,” Nicky Butt, the head of first-team development at United, told Manchester Evening news his preference is for the club's youngsters to fly under the radar.

Shoretire made his Uefa Youth League bow at the age of 14 years and 314 days last season. He is beeping louder on the radar.

With a number of top clubs willing to take him, it was always going to be a battle to keep hold of the player.

However, conversations with the likes of Michael Owen, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood convinced him to stay put at the Theatre of Dreams.
