Manchester United striker, Odion Ighalo said he will maintain his professionalism at the club despite the lack of playing time at the club.

The purchase of striker Edison Cavani meant the big forward dropped down the pecking order at United.

Gradually coming to the end of his loan spell, it is unlikely his contract will be renewed by Manchester United.

The 31-year-old is eyeing a move to Major League Soccer. Ighalo's last game for United was back in September 2020. He is called five goals in 19 appearances for United.

Ighalo told ESPN, he will continue to work hard in training and continue to give his best for the club.

“I’m a professional, I don’t make trouble and I don’t complain,” he said. “I just go to training and give my best.

“Lately I haven’t been playing much but it’s the coach’s decision. If I’m not in the team and give them 100% support. The team is doing well and that’s the most important thing,” He said

Ighalo’s loan deal is set to expire at the end of this month and the former Nigeria international is expected to return to his parent club Shanghai Shenhua where he still has twelve months on his contract, according to Brila.net.
