Manchester City have responded positively to the Uefa ban by beating West Ham 2-0 on Wednesday night's EPL game.

The Citizens were slapped with a two-year ban by Uefa from European competitions, effective next season, for breaking the financial fair play - FFP rules and false assets declaration.

City have responded to the ban and claimed that the allegations by Uefa are false, vowing to fight the ban.

There were frequent anti-Uefa chants in the first half, with the loudest coming just Rodri had met Kevin de Bruyne's corner at the near post to break the deadlock with a flicked header that Aymeric Laporte may have helped over the line. [BBC]

City are now four points clear of third-placed Leicester City who have 50 points and 22 points behind runaway league leaders, Liverpool.
