Nigerian singer Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has teamed up with two of his former Empire Mates Entertainment colleagues to deliver a banging single titled "Desire."

The song which was released barely 3 days ago features defunct EME co-founder, Banky W and former label mate, Shaydee.

Desire is a feel-good afro-pop song that takes listeners down memory lane, to Wizkid's lyrical dexterity when he was just starting out.

While several people have tagged the song as a leak from back in the day, none of the singers have said anything regarding their vocals on the track.

According to Wikipedia, Wizkid parted ways with EME in February 2013, moving out of the E.M.E mansion in Lagos and acquiring his own home in the Lekki Phase 1 area afterwards.

It was reported that money was at the centre of the controversy. On April 30, 2013, Nigerian Entertainment Today reported that Wizkid and E.M.E reunited after contract negotiations. In the aforementioned interview with Toolz, Banky W said the dispute was not as violent as people made it out to seem. Wizkid finally left the label following the release of his second studio album and expiration of his 5-year contract.

In an interview with a popular UK radio station, Capital Xtra which took place four months ago, Wizkid revealed that he left EME with zero naira.

Shaydee, on the other hand, announced his exit from the label following the expiration of his recording contract in May 2017.
