Release Funke, her twins are crying - Uche Elendu pleads

Following the arrest of Nollywood star, Funke Akindele, fellow actress, Uche Elendu, has pleaded for her release, claiming her twins are crying.

Recall the Mynigeria.com informed you that Funke was arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police command for defying the coronavirus lockdown with a house party for her husband's 43rd birthday.

Her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, JJC Skillz and controversial singer, Naira Marley, who weren't at Funke's Amen estate apartment during her arrest have been ordered to report to the police as well.

However, Elendu took to Instagram to solicit for the release of her colleague, Funke who has since been denied by the NCDC and Dettol; stating that she was never their ambassador.

Uche Elendu's statement reads:

"Please release her. I don't have any excuses to make for her cos the law is simple, No Social gathering !!!! but her humble and sweet spirit doesn't deserve this arrest...We are Sorry on her behalf please @jidesanwoolu @balaelkana.

"She explained and apologised please listen and forgive, at least people ate food at the party, the people that clustered people to share 2 packs of Indomie in the name of Quarantine relief were not arrested, Please Forgive her #freefunkeakindele"

"Nigerians pls the same way you got her arrested through social media pls beg them to release her, her twins r crying"
