Singer and Songwriter, Joshua Adere has advised up-and-coming musicians like himself to be certain about the path they want to follow before pursuing it.

According to him, regardless of the fame and wealth, one needs to be definite about the journey they are about to embark on in order to achieve success.

“You have to be sure that this is what I want to do and not just because of the money or the fame. There needs to be something strong driving you. Something you can look back and say, this is why I’m here and I’m not stopping regardless of whatever happens or how things are going,” he said.

Speaking in an interview with MyNigeria TV, he expressed his excitement about how far he has come as an artiste, adding that despite the ups and downs he has experienced during his journey; he is proud of his achievement in music.

“I feel this is the right time. Whenever I started is the right time. It’s how it should be and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’ve enjoyed every bit of the process. The ups, the downs, the encouragement and the discouragement, I am happy,” he added.

Narrating how he got into music, Joshua hinted that although he started music for fun, he sees music as a lifestyle he wants to adopt.

“I started singing in 2018, but before then I was singing for fun. Writing verses, then I was rapping for my classmates. But in 2018 I wanted more from it. I wanted it to become a lifestyle.”

The singer who announced his upcoming EP has released songs such as ‘Special’, ‘Load My Account’ and ‘Your hand’ among others.
