Lasisi Elenu reels out plans for 2020

Nigerian comedian, Lasisi Elenu, does not intend to relent this year as he reveals plans to be on every screen, cinemas, and social media accounts.

The comedian who just introduced a yahoo boy comedy series with the character "Sinzu" is looking to cashing out this year through movies, his own show, and tours oversea.

It seems Lasisi's 2020 will likely be nothing short of amazing after revealing exclusively to MyNigeria.com that he will embark on a European tour to 10 countries from February.

He said, “As for the first quarter, I look forward to doing my show sometime this year, hopefully. But for now, as of next month, I am having a tour with Pencil the comedian. We would tour 10 European countries. They include; Germany, Ukraine and a few others. That is pretty much what we are up to in this first quarter. The tour starts by February 2nd, all through the end of the month.”

To the delight of Lasisi’s followers, MyNigeria.com can confirm that he would feature in more movies this year.

He said, “Some movies were done last year which will come out this first quarter and some are also in production this first quarter.

"I cannot say for sure but I know that two of those movies should be out this year from the ones produced last year and there will be some more productions this year. I don’t know when it will be out but I hope it comes out soon."

In case you are wondering where all the ideas from his skits come from or what inspires your favorite comedian, Lasisi Elenu, he told MyNigeria.com that “different things inspire” him.

“I have a strong drive for outdoing myself, I like to use myself as a means of challenge, especially the results I have received. I learn through those results. I just constantly think about ideas I can put into the act and express in all these videos. Sometimes it varies, I might be in that quiet box for a while and ideas do not come but I keep doing something else like writing, talking, watching TV and ideas might just come. It will spring into more ideas and sometimes the birth of a new character just comes to life. If you have noticed over time, new characters come up often. A lot of people have been familiar with the "Brother Segun" character, the "poetry guy", the "Nike" character and I decided to bring up new characters and now I introduced "Sinzu".

He also revealed some of the difficulties he faces during his creative moments.

"The character is majorly the issue, sometimes I know I want to have a new character but I am not sure what character it will be until the idea finally comes then a new character comes to life and I can now start making stories around that character. Different things inspire me," the comedian said.
